::Not much has been going on around here lately! Since I blogged last, we were headed to Manhattan to visit the Stallbaumer's! Mike was finally finished with his busy season so we decided to get out of town to see our good friends and stay at their new home. We had such a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
We started Saturday morning off at Varsity donuts before Aiden and Mike's {much needed} haircuts with our favorite barber, Roger!
Purple sprinkles of course.... it was game day!
Being such a big boy! or terrified of the clippers
It was Aiden's first basketball game! I was so sad we couldn't get tickets for all of us, but I knew he'd have fun with daddy and the guys. Us girls made a trip to Target and had just sat down to watch the game on tv when Brooke got a call from Jeremy asking us to pick up Aiden... the poor little fella fell asleep on Mike right before tip off! Huge bummer!! I guess that's what we get when they schedule games during nap time :( We'll have to try again next year!
After the game Brooke and I left the kiddos with the boys and went to see 'The Vow'. Good movie! We were both in tears, duh.
It was such a great weekend... we LOVE being back in Manhattan and it was so nice of Brooke, Jeremy and sweet baby Ava, to have us in their new home. Can't wait to plan our next weekend together!
::In other news... Aiden just finished up his gymnastics classes! We can't wait to get him signed up for something else... he loved gymnastics but we're ready to get outdoors! He was so happy that daddy got to come to his last 2 sessions.
During the last part of his final class the parents got to come in and play around with the kiddos and have open gym. They also presented the kids with certificates.
::Aiden's been a whole new kid since Mike has finished his busy season. Thank goodness!! I knew all the acting out and attitude had something to do with his confusion as to why daddy wasn't coming home every night... and at that age they just don't understand or know how to communicate their feelings. He still has a lot of sass but has been listening and obeying so much better. There are much more smiles than tears in our house now (from both of us!!) Yay!
::This weekend Amy & Josh had a wedding in KC so we got to watch the kiddos! I hadn't seen them in SO long and Aiden was soooo pumped to play with his cousins.Yesterday we enjoyed the gorgeous weather and spent time at the park and outside at Sarah and Derek's.
{these little stinkers LOVE the ledge in Sarah's basement}
{having treats from the Ice Cream Truck!}
{pancakes for the boys!}
Harper stayed with Sarah and Derek and Pax stayed with us! Not sure what was up with the boys but they both kept waking up in the middle of the night crying. Finally at 3am I kicked Mike to the couch, brought Pax in bed with me and let Aiden have his bed to himself. We finally all {well, maybe just me, pax and aiden, sorry mike!} got some sleep after that.
See I told you its been low key around this house lately...
Some FUN weekends we are looking forward to...
March 17th:: St. Patricks Day in Manhattan! My sis Amy is working a booth for the YMCA and my brother and future Silly are running the 10k so we decided to all join in on the fun weekend! LOVE St. Patrick's Day! Gotta get our GREEN ready... :)
March 24th :: Disney On Ice: Treasure Cove: I got tickets for Mike's mom and I to take Aiden to this! We can't wait!
