Outside with Aiden!
Aiden LOVES playing outside. Its a knock.down.drag.out to get him inside... seriously. Today we went across the street from our apartment and i let him RUN. Here are some ALOT of photos. I couldn't choose they are all too cute!
Family Fun!
This weekend was BUSY BUSY! Our VERY dear friends Brooke and Jeremy were in town as well as my siblings Amy and Tony and my niece and nephew. Saturday morning we all headed to Aggie ville for the St Patrick's day parade. Mike had the afternoon off so I was THRILLED we got to do something as a family! We met my dad, brother and sister and the kiddos at So Long. Thankfully they had a spot in the restuarant to we could hang out in there and stay warm before the parade got started. I was having a good time but was also stewing (in mike's language) because it was SO cold out, there were so many people and GOD.FOR.BID they start the parade on time! Everyone gets down to aggieville around 10:30am to get a spot to see the parade which is suppose to start at 11am. Well on saturday it was COLD so all the kids were freezing. It was so sad looking around at all the shivering, red nosed kiddos anxiously waiting for a parade to start and it did... almost thirty min late! By that time aiden was over it and we had plans to go to the ksu baseball game afterwards so it was time to leave anyways.
Aiden did WONDERFUL at the baseball game! He was so good and had all the attention on him in the suite. Thankfully willies has 4 suite passes for the games so we got to go and invite brooke and jeremy. It was nice to enjoy the game in side and out of the cold!
That night we all went to willies to watch the cats. Such a sad loss, I was so pumped for them to be big 12 champions, i really thought they were going to do it! But we're loyal cat fans and are very proud of the team and can't wait to cheer them on in the tournament. We only made it to half time then headed back to our place to let the boys play. They had SO MUCH FUN! It was the first weekend that I saw Aiden have interest in playing with pax. Pax always wants him to play but up until now they just play in the same room but Aiden doesn't really interact... but this weekend they actually PLAYED. It was so cute, they love to chase eachother and scream and see who can laugh the loudest. Absolutely adorable and it melts my heart!
I realized today i took ONE picture of Harper. So mad at myself! She is seriously the sweetest most easy baby. You almost forget she's there ;) She just sleeps and when she isn't sleeping she is just awake and looking around. NEVER CRIES! She is perfect and beautiful and Im having a photo shoot next time I see her to make up for this weekend.
Sunday my dad made us all a seafood feast. We sat around laughing and talking and it was so much fun. I miss family dinners SO much!!
On another note it was also daylight savings. Aiden adapted very well and im super pleased. He even slept time 9:15 this morning. I ofcourse was at work at 7:30 but mike let me know the news. I was so jealous of them getting to sleep in! Mike is on spring break this week so him aiden are getting a lot of quality time together. I love coming home to the both of them and a clean apartment and being able to run errands ALONE after work if i want! We'll probably head to El Dorado or Hanover this weekend to give my a mini vacation before school starts again monday. He's itching to golf with the boys and i think he deserves an afternoon of male bonding. From now until graduation in may (yea!!!) he'll be super busy with grad school, CPA review, CPA exam and then starts his new job... CRAZY! We're so proud of him :)
Enjoy the pics from our weekend!

Catch up!
WOW I have been such a slacker lately!! I dont understand why I can spend so much time reading others blogs but can't spend fifteen/ twenty minutes updating ours! Honestly I have been trying to figure out photoshop and trying to give our blog an update and let me tell you its HARD! I have had such sweet people helping me and giving me advice on figuring out photoshop and I still dont get it! I did a blog header for my sister and one for me and Im not thrilled with either! Can you tell im super frustrated... I deleted EVERYTHING on my page. Don't worry its just under construction for now!
So here's what we've been up to lately...
Two weekends ago we busted out of Manhattan and went to El Dorado and Wichita to visit my sisters. Amy had a lot going on but we still spent plenty of time with her and the kids. During the day my mom, sister sarah, me and Aiden were in Wichita and we went shopping and got Aiden's 2nd hair cut. Sarah had googled kids cuts and found a neat little place. (Can't remember the name!!) Aiden did really good. I realized once we got home that im not thrilled with the cut at all but it was still a fun experience and Im glad we went!!
Aiden did not have a single nap all day long! He was such a trooper! I got him some cute summer outfits from Old Navy, some flip flops (which he LOVES) and some new tennis shoes. About the tennis shoes... when we were driving to El dorado Aiden was getting alitte squirmy so i reached back in the back seat and jiggled his foot to make him laugh. When i grabbed his shoe i realized his poor little tootsies were at the very tip of his old shocks! Poor baby! He must have recently had a growth spurt because the shoes fit fine not too long ago. So I was freaking out and felt horrible even though Im sure he was fine and didn't even notice they were getting to small, but i did and made it my mission to find new ones. The ones I really loved were pumas at Von Maur. They were adorable but of course they didn't have his size. So we found some shocks (cousin Pax has the same ones!) and got them instead.
Out with the old (left) in with the new!! (right)
We had dinner at willies in El dorado that night then me and my sisters hung out when the kids went to sleep. Amy made us a nice breakfast the next morning then we headed back to manhattan. Great Weekend!!
Me and Sarah always have so much fun dressing Harper when we're there. She is SO adorable, look at them chubby cheeks!
This past weekend Aiden FINALLY got to go spend the weekend with Uncle Joe and Aunt Alissa. Third times a charm! The first time we tried Aiden got sick, the second it snowed so we were so happy it was nice and he was healthy and got to go! Mike's parents went as well so they came through manhattan friday night and picked him up. I did some shopping that night with my sister sarah and went to dinner with friends! It was fun!
Uncle Joe is amazing and LOVES aiden so much!! I think Aiden had a great time and I know he wore Joe and Grandpa don out! Grandma Linda and Alissa were pretty tired to from shopping all day :) So sad I couldnt go and shop with them! We can't wait for Joe and Alissa to give Aiden a little buddy to play with, hopefully it will be sooner than later... hint. hint.

Thanks for taking such good care of him!! You guys are the best and we love you!!
Here are a few other randoms of Mr. A
LOVED Pax's shades!
Changing the channels...little stinker.
He has really taken a liking to his ELMO lately! Thanks auntie sarah!
The climbing has gotten WORSE! He is on everything now. His favorite is climbing up on the big brown chair and getting whatever we have laying on the ledge. And he can now get up on the chair and bang on the lab tops. This time though the chair was pushed in and he got stuck. I was in the kitchen doing dishes and he started whimpering, i found him like this. Im sure it wont be the last time he does this!!
Im VERY excited for this coming weekend! Amy and the kiddos are coming to visit. We're all going to the St Patrick's day parade in Aggie Ville then to the KSU baseball game with our friends Brooke and Jeremy! This will be Aiden's first game and Im so excited. I promise to not wait weeks to post again and hopefully ill have a new blog layout soon!!

Weekend Wrap Up!
This might be the most boring post I have ever done but Im really trying to post more often, Im trying to keep everyone updated and informed on what Mr. Aiden is up to these days!
Honestly we didn't do too much this weekend. The plan was to go to El Dorado and help my sister Sarah watch my niece and nephew while my other sister Amy and her hubs were in Vegas. Last minute I decided to stay at home. Snow was predicted plus last weekend was crazy busy so I decided it would be best to stay home and just get some things done around the apartment.
Friday I got off work at 2... I had big plans to go to the gym and target but once I got home and put my pajamas on I knew we wouldn't be doing ANYTHING. It was really nice to just stay in and play with aiden. We ate pizza and snuggled and went to bed early. Mike works most every friday night so its usually just me and lil man!
The one thing I wanted to accomplish this weekend was "aiden proofing" the kitchen. We have been using a gate to block off the kitchen up until now. We can't cook or clean the kitchen with out him standing at the gate SCREAMING. I never wanted him in the kitchen because it just grossed me out, no matter how much I swept and cleaned the floor I didn't want him to be crawling and playing on it so we just blocked it off. So every time we go in the kitchen we have to step over a gate. Not a big deal for us but I know its a pain for my grandma when she watches aiden. Plus since we live in an apartment we didn't want to drill holes in the cupboards to put the latches on. Well screw that now! Ha! Mike, Aiden and I headed out saturday morning to bed bath and beyond and target. We got everything we needed to make the kitchen "aiden friendly." We even got him his own little pots and pans set and gave him his own drawer in the kitchen. I filled it with his new set plus a bunch of utensils we don't really use. As soon as he saw the drawer and what was inside he said WOW! It was the cutest thing I have ever seen and he loves his drawer and it keeps him completely occupied. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! (Except im a bad mommy and didn't photograph anything. I will try to get some soon!)
It was nice to spend the day as a family! I did get some pics of aiden looking handsome in ONE of his valentine shirts mike's mom made. I figured since he has 3 he should wear one on saturday. He has a matching hat she made but he refuses to keep it (or any other hat) on. And he refuses to let me take his picture these days so here are the ones i managed to snap.
Hopefully I can get some this weekend with his hat on, its just TOO CUTE!!
Here is Aiden eating dinner, we're working on using a fork and spoon!

But sometimes its just easier to use my hands!!
On Sunday morning I got a call from Mike's parents. They needed an "Aiden Fix" (it had only been a week since they saw him last) so they were heading to Manhattan to spend the afternoon. They are so sweet and they love him SOOO much!! We got ready, they picked us up and we all headed to wal-mart then to visit mike and uncle hoop at work. Aiden had fun running around Willies and The Pub because it was the middle of the afternoon so it was dead. There were a couple tables at first and Aiden of course had to show off for them. He even walked up to the complete strangers and put his arms up like "hold me." Oh Aiden...
He was so running so fast it was hard for me to get pics, he would not stand still for a second!
Once Mike got off work we all ate some yummy food I had made for our own little Super Bowl party and just watched the game. Aiden kept us quite entertained... he found some wax paper we must of missed while "aiden proofing" and I just let him play with it for a bit, I had plenty more and he enjoyed unrolling it so much! He also played his new game of putting his sippy cup through his b-ball goal. The cup gets stuck he gets mad and throws a fit and I have it get it out for him... its a blast :) I can honestly say I didn't pay too much attention to the game and was on the internet once aiden went to bed and although he probably wont admit it, Mike slept through the 2nd half of the game :)
Very Excited for HEART DAY this coming weekend!! Once again we don't really have plans but I like it that way! We have Cole's 1st birthday on sunday then we planned on spending the rest of the holiday together at home. Nothing better! I have monday off so it'll be a great long weekend.

HI! WOW! and UH-O!!
Its been awhile since I have done a blog post that was actually ALL ABOUT AIDEN!! Its definitely time to update you on what our little man is up to these days!
Lets just start off by saying he is definitely a toddler! (Which makes me so sad and secretly i whisper in his ear every day that he is still my BABY and always will be) It seems like every time I look at him he looks older and bigger :(
Aiden is still very easy going. He is almost always in a great mood and rarely gets upset. He does have a temper though and does NOT like to be told no. Some days I feel like I just say no no no all day long and I hate it!! I try to tell him no and re direct his attention to something he is allowed to play with but most the time he could care less about ALL his toys. I mean the kid is completely spoiled and has too many toys but will spend an entire day playing with an empty water bottle or his FAVORITE an empty puffs container. He is SO silly! Whatever makes him happy as long as its not the remote, my cell phone, the lab top or the cords behind the tv. Mike and I both decided we need a new tv stand and a new desk ALL with DOORS so he can't get into them. HA!
Aiden is becoming more interested in some of his toys and its so cute how he will go in his room and actually PLAY. Ill find him in there looking at his books or crawling around his laugh and learn kitchen, its so adorable. Today he was being awfully quiet in there so I took a peek and he was playing with a cup (see i told you) and he was pulling out his dresser drawer putting the cup in it then pushing it back in. Then he would pull it out, take the cup out and start all over. No idea what he was thinking but he was having such a good time! Also when I was doing some dishes in the kitchen I heard him saying UH-O! in his room. He has NEVER said that so i had to go check out what was going on. He was just playing and I have no idea why he was saying Uh-o but he was and said it ALL day long. It was the cutest thing! His other favorite words right now are HI! and WOW! He also says mama, dada and will repeat you if you say baby and pretty. He tries so hard to say other things but they just don't come out quite right yet. Im not concerned at all. He "talks" all the time and one of these days it'll all just come out perfect :)
this post could get pretty long so Ill just make a list now of some other things he is up to!
*Pacifier- Aiden RARELY has his pacifier. We use it for bed time and as soon as he wakes up I say "spit it out" and he takes it out of his mouth and puts it in his crib. He's such a good boy! I don't leave the house without one though... just in case, there is always one in the diaper bag for emergencies. I do give it to him though for long car rides because he doesn't always fall asleep any more and even gets bored with his dvd player. Im glad he isn't dependent on it at all and I think i could take it away completely and he would be fine. I think its harder for me! He looks like a baby with it in and as I have already pointed out I want him to be a baby forever! :)
*Milk- I switched Aiden to whole milk right around his first birthday. He loved it right away and I didn't have to ease him into it by mixing it with formula or anything. I was happy. He drinks it cold with meals but I warm it up first thing in the morning and before bed. I don't think he really has a preference at all its just what we do!
*Bed time/night time/nap time- Aiden hasn't always been the best sleeper. These days he is going to bed around 8. He wont let me rock him anymore :( so we just lay him down turn his music on and he's out. He usually sleeps until til 6 or 7 and on a rare occasion 8am! We still have some nights where he'll wake up crying and we just have to go in there lay him back down and turn his music box on. Not horrible. He was taking 2- 2 hr naps a day but now its usually just one in the afternoon that will last a couple hrs and sometimes he'll lay down in the mornings for about 45 min to and hour.
*Meal time- Aiden is a good eater and everyone is usually shocked at how much he can consume! He still doesn't like veggies all too much but we have found ways to get him to eat them. I was concerned awhile back but then I read about other foods that can give him the same nutrients and I also read about serving sizes and it all put my mind to ease. He is definitely a healthy little boy!
*Aiden's babysitters include my grandma and our friend Heidi. Heidi has a 3 yr old son Hunter and is expecting. Aiden LOVES Heidi and Hunter and they are always having play dates with lots of other kids and moms. I love that she always has them outside when its nice, does art projects and I know he is learning when he is with them. We're very lucky!
*Aiden is becoming more shy and its adorable. It doesn't last long and he warms up to people very quickly but he can be quite bashful at first.
* He still LOVES bath time and will yank at his shirt and diaper until I take them off then he runs to the bathroom. ha ha ha!
obviously I could go on and on and on but this is getting LONG. Most importantly our guy is happy and healthy and so much fun! My love for him is SO unexplainable, Im honored to be his mommy. Im going to be better about these updates ALL ABOUT AIDEN... this blog IS suppose to be all about him :)
