Little Britches

The Little Britches sale was this past weekend! Im always so exhausted after the weekend is over but I always get so much good stuff so it's worth it. I had cleaned out Aiden's drawers and closet the weekend before. Packed away all the winter stuff and got out the summer wardrobe. Its so nice that Pax and Aiden were born in the same season, Amy always sends me all of Pax's clothes he's grown out of and they fit Aiden perfectly. So after getting it all organized I realized Aiden was pretty set for the summer! I was already signed up to work two shifts so I was going to be at the sale no matter what. I always volunteer to work the pre-sale which is the night before the big sale and its for all the volunteers and consignors to shop. Well since I work the pre-sale I get to shop the PREMIER sale which is before the pre sale. A little confusing... pretty much a group of 10 or so of us get to shop before ANYONE else and its so peaceful and stress free and I get to have first pick. woo hoo! The actual sale is a mad house and I did that once (granted I was also pretty prego at the time) but it gives me anxiety just thinking about it. People take off RUNNING for stuff and you have 10 people trying to look at a rack of clothing. So annoying. So its worth spending my whole weekend volunteering so I can shop before all the crazies. I spent my hour of shopping looking for aiden and found some great stuff. I then started looking for Harper but it was time to start working my shift so I only picked her up a couple things. Well the next day when I got there it was the half off sale so I looked for Harper again and got her 10 outfits for $20. And they are all ADORABLE. By that time everything in the sizes for pax and aiden was completely picked over so I didnt get anything for them. It was also the first sale I didn't get a baby swing, bouncer, bassinet, book and not.a.single.toy. Im sure Mike was super glad I didn't come home with anything big this year :) Its such a great sale and hopefully one day when me and my siblings are done having babies we can make some money off the kids stuff but for now im fine just shopping. I always meet the NICEST woman and even though we're moving Ill be coming back for every sale!

Here is the stuff I got for mr. aiden.

My favorite purchase! These BEAUTIFUL boots! They are so cute, and I dont think they have ever been worn. Hopefully they fit him perfect next winter. They also had the exact same pair our friend Casey got him for his birthday but in a bigger size so i got them too :) The kid can't ever have enough boots!

I think he is SET for the summer!!

OH I FORGOT, I also got aiden the yellow button down he wore yesterday to the tulip festival. Another one of my favorite purchases :)

Here is Harper's stuff! SO CUTE!!

The yello one above is to DIE for! I have to mail them because I dont know when Ill see them again and Harper needs to wear this stuff asap! Plus she is getting so big so fast she might grow out of a few things pretty quick!

Its O-FISH-AL!!!

Our littly fishy has completed parent/toddler aquatics!! Tonight was our last night and Aiden got a certificate and all. So proud of my little guy! Sadly Mike works monday nights and its 1 of the 4 days a week he can actually work so he never got to come to a single class. So sad. He is the hardest worker I know but  he would have taken a night off if I asked but I really didn't want him to do that. I only wish we had some pics of Aiden in the water but it'll be pool time soon enough and Ill get plenty then. Honestly Aiden didn't LOVE the class and I dont think he learned a single thing. HA! He was a little too young for what they were teaching. I also think if I would have had an extra set of arms it would have helped. I couldn't show him what to do while I was holding him and we were in 5ft deep water so I couldn't let go of him either. If he would have had someone to swim to I think he would have picked up on some of the stuff. He can kick his legs and push off the edge and he was one of the only ones his age strong enough to pull himself out of the water with little to no help from me! He's our little baby beef cake :) He never blew any bubbles... he would just drink the water and say ahhhh! after he did. It was kind of embarrassing but also hilarious. He LOVED his instructor and he is such a CHARMER. He would be squealing and squirming trying to get away from me and she would come around and he would start smiling and laughing. The little stinker...
One of the classes we put them in life jackets and he did really well floating on his back. I thought for sure we'd be dunking them the first night but it wasn't until the third class that we had to. I had been wanting to do it so bad but when she finally told us to I was so hesitant. We were suppose to blow in their face so they would hold their breath but I think Aiden is too old for that because I would do it and he just looked at me like "why are you doing that." Then I would blow harder and he still stared at me like I was crazy. So I would just dunk him and the poor thing would come up choking and gagging because he swallowed half the water in the pool!! It made me so sad so I stopped doing it. Well... tonight being the last night he couldn't get a ball to play with til we showed the instructor that they could go under water. I debated but knew he'd be fine and I tried a new way that my sitter showed me. It worked! He came out of the water totally fine and didn't drink any water! The teacher was like "yea!!  no coughing!" So he got to play with a ball and had so much fun. I definitely think Aiden will LOVE the pool this summer and I can't wait to take him!

Life Lately...

Has been busy, busy busy!! I haven't blogged since Easter! We are just flying through April and May is almost here which means Mike's Graduation!! SO CRAZY! Im already an emotional wreck just thinking about it. He was trying on his "thing" that goes over his robe and I teared up! I just can't believe its almost here! We are so proud of him! My goals in the very near future are to start looking for places for us to live in kc, a job for myself and daycare for Aiden. I dont even know where to start, it stresses me out just thinking about it! But September will be here before we know it so I need to get on the ball!

Ill just make this post primarily pictures to catch us up and PROMISE to be a better blogger. Weekly posts from here on out if not more! Pinky swear! :)

We had a farewell playdate for our friends Ashley and Tyson who moved to Houston. We miss them already but get to see them when they come back to visit in May!

Easter at the Schuessler's. We had a fun weekend and beautiful weather! The Easter bunny spoiled Aiden as usual! :)

With the weather being so nice it was time to hang out on papa's deck and grill out! Hopefully we'll be doing this a lot this summer before we move!! We LOVE it!

Celebrating Nana Jana's 50th birthday with a BBQ at Anneberg Park. It was a great day and we had a blast!

My boys. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!

Aiden and I went to Wamego's Tulip Festival! Just the 2 of us! :) Mike had to work and my friend Ashley and her son Cole  ended up not being able to go so we went alone and had such a great time!

This coming weekend is K-State football's Spring Game! We dont have any plans yet but I'm sure we'll be up at the stadium tailgating and enjoying all the fun things they have going on for the kiddos! Also my sister Sarah and Derek will be in town and looking at Colbert Hills' new club house. HOPEFULLY its big enough and they can have their wedding reception there! Mike and I drove up by it today and it looks really nice. Mike golfed there yesterday and said the inside is beautiful so we're PRAYING it works out for them! I just want them to set a date so we can start planning and dress shopping! yea!
